The EAS supports various educational actions like the European basic course on aerobiology and the European course on advanced aerobiology. You can find further information and the dates for the various courses on this page.
European basic course on aerobiology
The increasing number of national aerobiological monitoring networks that have been set up has enabled scientists to compare procedures and deepen the fundamentals of monitoring techniques. The Basic Aerobiology Courses were developed to meet this growing interest in monitoring of airborne biological particles as well as to respond to the resulting need for standardisation of procedures. An educational program to train aerobiologists has been developed over the years. The first ever European Basic Course on Aerobiology was held in Krems, Austria, in 1993, and courses have taken place approximately every 2 years since then.
The specifications to organise a Basic Course are summarized in this document: Specifications
Next EAS Basic Course on Aerobiology will be held in Poznan, Poland, from 28 July to 1 August 2025.

Advanced Aerobiology courses
The International Association for Aerobiology (IAA) regularly organises Advanced Aerobiology Courses. For more information, please visit the IAA website.
